So big plus of having a couple of weeks free from the daily grind, I get to re-acquaint myself with not only the Inter-webs, but pop culture as well. Last evening they collided in the perfect storm. I updated the driftlive myspace page. Our nearly 800 friends will now be greeted by a sweet custom masthead featuring Takatori's SA Drift Skyline.

Last night during the Olympic games, there was a lightening storm off in the distance. Remembering back to third grade I used a count technique to estimate that the bolts of lightening were around 1.75 miles away. The trick is to count the seconds that elapse between seeing the lightening and hearing the thunder.

Remember Hell Track? Remember Bring Me an Angel blasting in the background with amazing BMX dancing in the foreground? That chick from Full House?

I spent some time this morning working on http://www.thecausalamericansguidetothespreadofcommunisminthewest.com and I think I finally have an interest in making a Wordpress widget. I want to make a widget that taps into the gallery and media manager features of Wordpress to display thumbnails of related posts in the sidebar. Think of it like Amazon.com's "you may also like" feature.

Why is it that just because I don't live in the UK I am forced to download Top Gear via bit torrent? I would love to be able to view it on the BBC website.

And don't even talk to me about the American version, I am highly dubious of it even holding a candle to its' colonial master.

So this whole update all the websites all the days thing... It's a lot of work. The hard part is not literally making the update, it is generating content with any level of quality. It would be helpful to have a few more contributors on the network. I think the magic number is somewhere around 5 people.

Now that Mercenaries 2 is done and I am finished with my contract at Pandemic, I actually have free time to update my websites. I have decided that I am going to update each site once per day for the next two weeks. Typically this takes me about 2-3 hours as I have 5 sites that I focus on. Eventually I think I should come up with some sort of rotation schedule for updates.

I have invented it. Very Simple. 1 part peanut butter and 1 part cool whip. To prepare, scoop a spoon into the jar of peanut butter (hint: make sure your wife does not see this step) then do the same for the tub of cool whip. Place spoon in mouth. Repeat if desired.
