The Nintendo Stock blog maintained by a fellow who calls himself the Good Doctor just put up an article (The Video Game Industry: Nintendo Returns To Dominance) that has a nice argument for choosing Nintendo as the best pure video game stock play out there. His article also has history lessons on MicroSoft, Sony, and Nintendo in the video game industry.

A few thoughts on context versus content. If the 'Net allows our fingers to do the walking, why is it that the flash graphics on a translation of the Nintendo Wii page are not as fun as the original version? I like the ドンキーコング たるジェットレース 選手 site. Or was that a rhetorical question? I wonder if Chris Kohler has the answer on his blog?

...thinking more about the neo-global implications of the Icarus meme, I came across a Japanese site entitled有限会社イカルスジャパン which translates into "ICaRus Japan Limited". Their mission statement: "ICaRuS Japan Limited does not give any warranty or other assurance as to the operation, quality or functionality of the site. Access to the site may be interrupted, restricted or delayed for any reason." Or is that a disclaimer? The old Bug vs Feature debate.

I know very little about this title so far, but I am quite interested to say the least. It also looks like the Zelda that should have been. None of this Twilight Princess crap, give me sweet cell shading and cute little main charcters in my Zelda games and an art style that matches.

This games also makes me think of the old Lucas Arts adventure games. I think that SCUMM needs to make a comeback and that Wii and DS are the perfect platforms for it.

Instead of spending my time making this site pretty looking I decided to do a little field work -that field being the couch of Geoffrey. Thanks to Cameron, I was recently exposed to an overdose of the most excellent looking "Wind Waker". I guess that's when I decided to indoctrinate myself into the cult of Zelda. As a PC gamer for most of my life I wasn't very familiar with the slutty princess. So, I decided to start with the original NES game and I'm currently hacking away at the later SNES version 'A Link to the Past'. At this point, I need to get something off my chest.
